Portland Timbers sign forward Gage Guerra
TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Signing The Portland Timbers have signed forward Gage Guerra through 2025 with options spanning from 2026-28, the club announced Thursday.
ACQUIRED: Via 2024 MLS SuperDraft (No. 69 overall) on December 19, 2023... Signed to a first-team contract on June 26, 2025. Guerra will be in Green and Gold in a one-year deal through the 2025 season with club options in 2026, 2027, and 2028.
2025: Signed first-team contract on June 26 and made his MLS debut coming on as a subsitute in the 73rd minute of Portland at Toronto on June 28.... Made his first team debut as a second-half substitute in Portland’s Open Cup match against Tacoma Defiance on May 6, scoring the game-tying goal on his first touch of the match.
COLLEGE CAREER: In two seasons with the Louisville Cardinals, Guerra tallied 16 goals and three assists in 29 appearances, earning All-ACC honors. Guerra started his collegiate career at Army, where he played in 33 matches for the Black Knights from 2021-2022, tallying 15 goals and four assists.
