Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez’s injury troubles will keep him out of another key LA Galaxy game.
After missing El Trafico on Sunday due to injury, the striker posted on Instagram that he will also be out for the Galaxy’s match against the Portland Timbers on Wednesday night (10 pm ET | ESPN, full TV & streaming info), which they must win to realistically keep hope alive of making the postseason.
The caption translates to: “Today I have to be out due to injury, but I hope my team can take the three points to keep alive the possibility of making the playoffs. Let's go my LA Galaxy."
Following the match against LAFC last weekend, head coach Barros Schelotto told reporters he thought Chicharito got injured in training on Thursday, Oct. 22. "He felt something wrong and then went out. We waited for him Friday and Saturday but he didn’t feel very well. He will try [to train] tomorrow and already will play in Portland. If it doesn’t work, we might do an MRI to know what is happening with him."
Chicharito has featured in 10 games for the Galaxy this season (seven from the start) and has one goal.
