LAFC striker Adama Diomande was in a battle to gain full fitness to start the season, a battle that led to him to coming on as a substitute in the team's first three matches of 2019.
Making his third straight start in Week 6 against D.C. United, Diomande was forced to exit the match in the 28th minute with a hamstring injury.
Before coming out of the match, the Norwegian forward left his mark on the match. He played provider on the Black & Gold's first goal of the afternoon, feeding Carlos Vela for his third assist of the season.
Christian Ramirez came on for Diomande and helped round out the 4-0 final scoreline with an assist on the final goal. The US national team forward figures to be the starting striker for as long as Diomande may be absent.
